This Alkaline to Acid pH Water Test Kit is a standard chemistry testing agent.
Simply put about 1/4 inch of water into the provided vial, add 1-2 drops of testing agent with the dropper, and watch as the water turns one of the colors of the rainbow. For instance, purple indicates 10 pH alkalinity, green indicates a neutral 7 pH, orange indicates a 4 pH acidity. The kit includes a color-coded pH chart for comparison with the water.

Good for about 30 tests using 2 drops, 60 tests using 1 drop.
 
The water we drink should test at least slightly above neutral, like our blood pH which is 7.365 pH, slightly alkaline. The best water, of course, is higher alkalinity and with a water ionizer you can make high alkaline ionized water with a pH of 10!
