The filter in the neck of this bottle removes over 80 contaminants, most importantly chlorine, and gives you great tasting water on the go from any tap!

Extra replacement filters are available!

Tina's Tidbit:
This bottle is worth its weight in GOLD - even today with gold prices what they are! I've tested the chlorine removal and it is superb! Using this bottle and the water ionizer stick, you can have better water than any bottle you can buy, at any price!
Corn-based Filter Bottle .5 Liter (17 ounces)

Removes chlorine and most other impurities from tap water!

Filter tap water anywhere, anytime for safe drinking water!

(Click here for the filter specs- it takes a bit to load, but it's worth it - it's impressive!)
Did you know less than 15% of plastic bottles get recycled?

This bottle is made from a safe corn resin and biodegrades in 80 days!

And, at an average cost for bottled water of only $1 each,
you'd be paying $8 a gallon - FOR WATER!!
AND YOU THINK GAS PRICES ARE HIGH?!?!?!

ABOUT THE FILTER:

The carbon based filter in this biodegradable bottle removes chlorine AND organic contaminants from regular municipal tap water.

Don't judge this little filter on it's size or price!! Among many other contaminants, it removes:

Organic Mercury from refineries and natural deposits
Acryaimide added to water for sewage treatment
Trihalomethanes by-product of chorination
Benzo-pyrene leaching from water storage tank linings
Hexachlorobenzene from metal and agricultural chemical factories
Lindane from runoff of insecticides used on lumber, cattle & gardens
Polychlorinated Biphenyls runoff from landfills and waste chemicals
Styrene discharge from rubber and plastic factories and landfill leaching
Toluene discharge from petroleum refineries
Diandipate leaching from PVC plumbing systems
Vinyl Chloride leaching from PVC pipes
Benzene from factory discharge
Dioxin from chemical and incineration plants
Heptachlor residue of termite killing chemicals
Tetrachloride Chlorodane from herbicide residues

The filter is good for about 90 uses, which roughly equals 45 quarts or 12 gallons, and filter replacements are available. You can let it dry out between uses if you use it sporadically. When I travel I squeeze tap water through this bottle into my 1 liter drinking bottle, then ionize and alkalize the water with water ionizer sticks. I create my own, filtered, high ph, ionized water on the go - better than money can buy!

ABOUT THE BOTTLE:

This cornstarch plastic bottle is made from polylactide ("PLA"). PLA has great organic characteristics and is excellent for food contact. It biodegrades in just 80 days in commercial compost systems when you're no longer using the drinking bottle. This portable water filter can be used up to 90 times for fresh tasting filtered water wherever you go!

PLA is the worlds first commercially available greenhouse-gas-neutral polymer. Using a corn yield of 130 bushels per acre, about 54,000 bottles (500ML) per acre of corn can be produced. Under intense heat, the corn is reduced to polyactide acid. By achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions, fossil fuel consumption is decreased by 65% compared to traditional plastic. These bottles were created in response to a need for developed countries to reduce their addiction to petroleum in the belief that over use of petroleum is bad for our economy and for our eco system.

These bottles are actually compostable as opposed to biodegradable. This means that it takes specific conditions of heat and moisture for the bottle to degrade. These conditions are present in a commercial compost. However like P.E.T. plastic it may misshape or warp in high heat conditions like a closed car in the summer.

To clean, wash the bottle with warm (not hot) water with white vinegar or baking soda. Do not place in a dishwasher.

This portable water filter bottle frees you from ever buying bottled water again and adding to the mountains of bottles in landfills that we leave as a legacy for our grandchildren!

More Good Corn Bottle Facts:
- The bottle will not leach any taste into the water.
- The raw material used is 100% renewable.
- The raw material is purchased from U.S. farmers.
- Money spent to purchase this bottle stays in the U.S.A.
- Bottles degrade in a commercial compost in 80 days.
- No petroleum is used in the product.
- The corn polymer is greenhouse-gas-neutral.

The manufacturer purchases dextrose from Cargill. Cargill buys a mixed stream of corn which may include either organic or genetically modified corn products in the mix. Even if the corn has come from GMO seed, there is no genetic material present in the dextrose as it is destroyed in the manufacturing process. Neither the manufacturer nor URparamount, Inc. supports GMO products.

According to the research organization Earth Policy Institute, America's demand for bottled water requires more than 1.5 million barrels of oil a year enough to power 100,000 cars. And the Container Recycling Institute reports that 85% of plastic water bottles in the United States end up in landfills. When burned, they produce byproducts that may be harmful to humans and the earth, according to the Earth Policy Institute.
